Globe valve: its closing parts (disc) moves along the midline of the seat. According to this mobile form of disc, seat inlet varies directly with disc stroke. The starting and closing strokes of this vale are shorter. Globe valve is especially suitable for stopping, shut-off or adjusting. However, its flow resistance and pressure loss are relatively large.
